On October 11th, MentorPrize hosted its second annual fundraiser in support of its efforts to solve the mentorship gap. The “Banding” Together event underscored the need for more quality mentoring relationships so that children and young adults from disadvantaged backgrounds get the support everyone deserves.
Guests gathered at the Woman’s Club of Chevy Chase where they enjoyed an 80’s themed evening with live music from local band Mommy's Little Helper and special guest performances by mentees. The club was transformed by SparkleMonkey into a totally awesome dance party complete with the World’s Largest Pac-Man game. A silent auction attracted heavy bidding for once-in-a-lifetime experiences, sporting events, and top restaurants.
